With the advent of new legislation, the profession of pharmacist is set to undergo a number of changes in response to the situation.<\/p>\n
On the one hand, economic and political measures are not in pharmacists' favor. The number of reimbursed drugs is falling, self-medication is on the decline, and trends are changing as a result of the decline in the purchasing power of the French... A rethink is inevitable! Some pharmacists are changing their business models, turning their dispensaries into discount pharmacies with a strong supermarket feel. Other pharmacists are betting on the development of their pharmacy(ies) through new technologies (e-commerce site for parapharmacy products and medicines), while still others are regrouping, etc.<\/p>\n
Whatever the case may be, the profession of pharmacist is evolving into the Cyber-pharmacist for new technology enthusiasts, and will most certainly evolve in the years to come towards complementary skills or specific actions linked to advice, prevention and care.<\/p>\n
